Help Front facing cam quality horrible?

Anybody else notice this? I hate to compare it to the *gulp* iPhone but I was video chatting with my wife last night and the video quality to her was horrible. Anybody else notice this?
 
might be fring? or your internet connection? I think the way to judge the camera is by taking a picture, not video chatting. It has a lot to do with your upstream bandwidth.
 
Well I have 30meg internet with about 4 up. Picture quality is horrible too. Have you guys tried it or?
 
I think I saw a review, where they said that regardless if they were on 3G or wi-fi, quality was not that good. I don't know where I saw it. I'm on my Xoom atm so I can't go back and look.

You also need to realize that the cam on the front is only 2 mp. Granted it was put there for the sole purpose of video chatting (or being "that guy...or girl" that likes to take self portrates). I used mine to take a picture of myself as a base line and while it isnt nearly as good as the back cam, it came out with acceptable clarity.

I see this as well. It's not very good at all. I used Gtalk. Even worse, my sound seems choppy on the other end as well. Not sure why, but I don't think it's Fring, and I don't think it's upstream bandwidth (mine is high as well).

Yes I do realize that, but the iPhone's front cam is less than that and it looks crystal clear. I was hoping for better being a 2mp. Oh wellz

Exactly. I think something in the software isn't baked just yet perhaps. I think it's less likely that its a H/W issue, but it certainly is to early to know ..
