Multi touch is the only reason I would flash.

Flash its not supported by our phones. We have an arm6 processor and only arm7 and up support flash.

Nice. I just figured out how to root the optimus too.

I rooted my Optimus M. Lucky it was 2.2 not 2.2.1.

Flash and multi touch will be hard. Our phone doesn't really support them. X.x Might make the phone unstable due to its hardware limitations.

Sorry but Angry Birds doesn't even play well on the Optimus which has a decent dedicated Graphical Processor Unit. I have read it's a port from apple, not writtent natively for android.

Icarus is an optimized version of 2.1, but it is still 2.1. 2.2 is built from the ground up to be faster and more efficient, so it seems like there should at least be some improvement. I wonder how hard it will be to root, though. I can't live without my root apps.

No, you probably won't have to. I built Icarus on top of the stock ROM. Given the way Huawei delivers updates in the past, this one will probably be a download somewhere that you flash on the phone.

we have about 3 threads with this info...not being rude or nothing, but its not out yet, so we cant say how to install it...but you can instal cm6 its 2.2 but no mms...
