Help Froyo 2.2 quick Settings

Virgin Mobile Intercept: "Quick Settings": When using the quick settings app, it allows me to activate the wifi hotspot and it does broadcast a signal..is there a way to figure the WEP key the phone is using?

I dont think it is working, for me it disables the 3g when i turn it on...

Mine does the exact same. As soon as hotspot goes on, 3g disables by itself. If I try to reenable 3g, it will fail unless hotspot is disabled first. Guess rooting's the only alternative.
