Help Froyo: Back up my data?

In privacy, we now have "back up my data". What exactly is that and where does the data go?

What about the option right under it too, "automatic restore"? How does that work?

Bump. No one knows exactly what this feature does and how it works?

Id like to know more also, it seems that nobody is using this feature.

- what data is backed up?
- should we leave this feature always on?
- where is the data backed up to?
- how can we see what is backed up if we need to restore?
- is 3rd party app data backed up?
- why does nobody seem to know much about this "feature" ?

Thanks for the bump. I'm totally surprised that no one seems to know what this does.

Seems like this could be something real good, but I'm guessing if there's so little interest, it probably doesn't do much at all in reality.

lex, i just started a thread on this in the Tips sub-forum. i found a little info on it from the Moto Forums here
