Help Froyo Dedicated Shortcut Issue

I updated to Froyo yesterday, but the supposed new dedicated shortcuts (I was looking forward to) did not show up. Supposed to be phone, contacts, apps, messaging. But I still have the old 2.1 shortcuts (phone, email, browser, apps).

Do I need to do something to fix this? Have others noticed this issue?

What do you mean? The icons for some of these shortcuts are different. The new ones I got were Car Home, Desk Home, and Galaxy S Suppport (which is just a shortcut to their website). I could have done without all of these, just more bloatware.

I'm talking about the four dedicated shortcuts at the bottom of the home screen that remain no matter which of the seven home screens you're on. Currenly my phone shows "Phone", "Email", "Browser", "Applications", in that order. I thought Froyo was supposed to have Phone, Contacts, Messaging, Applications. Why did my shortcuts not change when I upgraded to Froyo?

You can change the first three manually to anything you want, the applications one is locked in place.
To change them:
open applications
press the "menu" soft key
pick view type
choose customizable grid
press the "menu" soft key
choose edit

then grab any app you want and place it in the bottom bar where ever you like.
