Froyo has Sense's interface? :S

Hey there! So I got my Froyo update during my break at work today, I didn't get much time to play around with it since I had to get back to work, but the interface is exactly the same as the HTC Sense one:
where you drag the tab down to unlock the lock screen,
and then the same old rounded tab at the button of the home screen,
and even the All Programs browsing is exactly the same.

A lot of people are having various problems with Froyo so far as I can see! :(

It's Froyo...with Sense. Hence, it looks like Sense. ;) And you're on a forum. Most people who come onto forums about things do so because they have a problem they want solved, so most threads are about problems. It doesn't reflect on the number of people who actually have issues with the update.

Chyeah I understand that people would come here because they have problems! I meant that there seemed to be quite a range of problems! From the camera to iTunes etc.
I saw some previews it had a different lock screen, is that for a different device (This lock screen I saw had a sideways swipe)

This is what I should have, but don't:

The HTC Desire has never used the default Android interface because HTC has installed Sense over it. This is why we have had to wait for Froyo, so that HTC can get sense working on Froyo before we get it.

If you want default Android then you should have gotten a Nexus One.

Ohhh that makes more sense to me now, thank you! So the only way to really get that layout would be with the ADW Launcher?
I had also heard somewhere that the browsing in All Apps changes though, and mine has stayed the same, or was that some bull I came across?

This is what I should have, but don't:

That is the standard Android operating system. HTC add their own user interface over the top, called 'Sense'. It gives you all those fancy widgets and makes the phone look a bit different.

Some people like it, others don't.

bit harsh in the last post... you can root and download a vanila file or use one of the many launchers off the market to in effect remove the sense UI.

oops last post i saw was matttye

QFT! This is easily forgotten.
