Yawn. Let me know when it arrives for the Captivate. I thank you OP though for meaning well.
I like how they call it official so definitively then proceed to say, " but the DK28 version making the rounds at xda-developers looks to be the real deal." Looks to be the real deal and a link to XDA?? That doesn't sound like an official update to me. It's official or IT'S NOT there is NO in between. How hard is that?

Because I own an Epic, I probably follow it a bit more closely. It does APPEAR to be the official version (or at least a RC) as it appears to be hosted by Google.

AT&T cannot be too far behind! Enjoy your update on your epic! You'll probably post your experience over on the epic forum, would you post that here as well, or link?
I won't be updating any time soon. I'm happily running a previous group leak and have tweeked certain apks to my liking (not to mention having a working hulu).Owwww, it does appear to be hosted by google!AT&T cannot be too far behind! Check the Froyo sticky in the Epic section for reviews though!i'm switching to the Motorola Olympus in jan. it's just going to be a better phone. preloaded with froyo also!
I just know that this is my first and last samsung phone. I'.m hoping htc or even motorola will start making handsets for at&t. From the looks of it seems like at&t is going to focus more on windows 7
i like motorola phones less everytime i use them. i played with my friends droid x yesterday and i couldnt type on the thing, i had to press harder to register my presses and i had to click on things on the screen multiple times also because im used to light presses on my phone and it wouldnt register on his phone. also the hardware buttons were very loose. everyone says samsung have the lowest quality builds but that phone felt very cheap to meand it wont have its list of problems,,, and everyone will being wanting to hurry up gingerbread,,, give me a break,, it will be all the same,,, same shit different pile
No Sammy "official" Froyo for me. It will be packed full of conservation. I flashed to Axura RC1 and couldn't be happier. Samsung can KMA and I will continue to support devr's.
RIP Axura!
Here, here! I updated to Axura RC1 this weekend, and I wish I hadn't waited that long.
i don't ever see myself going back to an official release.
What's so special about the Axura RC1? I'd like to know. Considering switching to that ROM myself, but not to sure.
That good to hear for sprint.....next will be verizon, t-mobile, rogers, metro pcs ,pre paid andriod phones then finally at&t.
lol so true. AT&T has to start getting on the ball. It's getting ridiculous.
