Root Froyo Keyboard "Voice" Button

Hmm,

Alls well that goes well with the new Froyo leak.

However there is something that is annoying me with the default keyboard.

Now there is a "Voice" search button on the bottom left of the Froyo keyboard, where there used to be a simple "Down" button that would hide the keyboard. I don't know if pressing the back key is something I can get used to for all of those login forms.

Is there a way to bring back that "Down" button?

I agree. It sucks. Which keyboards out there have something like that to hide the keyboard? I've always used stock.

HTC IME mod keyboard for Froyo/Nexus one has this. It's the same as the HTC keyboard, but has a lot more options.

You hit the back button now to close the keyboard. I actually like this improvement. What I don't like is I have to long-press the mic button to get the mic. If I just tap it, it asks me to select a language.
