I'll admit it... I joined hoping to get the Froyo update.zip for my Droid. I've been meaning to join a Droid related forum for a while, so what the heck.
I got my Droid on June 20th -- which was my upgrade date with Verizon. I was torn between the Droid, waiting for the release of Droid X, waiting on a back-ordered Droid Incredible, and waiting even longer for the Droid 2. In the end, since my wife was getting one as well, the BOGO deal was just too much to pass up. We spent $100 (after mail in rebates, which we got last week) for two Droids. That's hard to argue with.
Sadly, though I am the geek of the family, I was the LAST one to have a smartphone. My parents got Droids in November, my sister got an Eris early in the year, and my brother has had an iPhone for some time (his loss I suppose).
Looking forward to becoming a part of the community!
