froyo question help please

Hi, I have froyo running but I have had to change keyboard back to stock. I had the keyboard with the mike key on 2.1 but this kb does not seem to function on froyo.

How do I now speak texts and emails a function I loved before.

If anyone knows the answer please help

If it was the IME mod you were using before (think it probably was as this is the one most guides said to install) then theres a froyo version here which works fine on my desire and can confirm the mic key works fine:
