My wife's Vibrant received the 2.2 update almost a month ago... however when you go in to settings, about phone it still says 2.1. She received a 1 part update. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Any bright ideas?

Did you run the upgrade via Kies? Or was it the OTA update from T-Mobile (that wasn't 2.2, that OTA was a 2.1 maintenance update)

Just so we are clear... it was through TMo. Which I thought was supposed to be a 2.2 update. Also I am not referring to the old GPS update.
I remember reading about how TMo and Samsung were being sued for slow updates (or something). Then Phandroid said they were coming out with an update to 2.2 for the Vibrant

If it says 2.1, you didn't get the Froyo update.

The TMo over the air update was NOT a froyo update. It was a maintenance update for folks using 2.1. To get froyo you had to download and install Kies Mini to your pc. Plug in your phone via usb and run the froyo update that way. Kies software is the only way to update to froyo (and not just through t-mobile, other US carriers are only doing the froyo update through the Kies software. Apparently the update it too large to go the over the air route).
