Very Very Happy with it and it is already Froyo.

If the OTA Comes through I will say no.
 
I dont think being rooted matters. But you will have to go back to stock.
Ive been running Axura ROMs but i went back to stock just so i can get it and check it out. Man, 2.1 sure is slow...lol

Maybe ill even pull the 2.2 OTA from my files and make a zip of it for the hell of it. Or not........after this, i hope we start getting Gingerbread ROMs soon.


I still have Z4Root backed up in Titanium backup so if i need to unroot, i just push a button but im pretty sure you dont need to unroot. However, if you have that App...its pretty easy. Not sure it even took 1 second ;)
 
After flashing to stock with Odin,I was going to restore with Titanium, but JI6 is so slow it takes forever.
I guess I will just run it stock, barebones until the OTA comes out.

Will it be an OTA, or the Kies BS ?
 
Hey to be honest, they keep saying OTA. Like you, I am sure, I hope it comes across Kies so I won't have to be in the IMEI lottery.
 
I think I will wait and see.. no point "updating" to stock file system and no mobile ap.

Mobile AP=USB Tethering ?

I saw that was an option on nero v5, but I heard that Tmobile wants to charge you to do it. If they "catch you" they will start charging you $15 per month.
 
Wifi hotspot. I wonder how they will "catch" you.. bandwidth usage? You could probably still use it in moderation and for just one device at a time?
 
I dunno about you guys, but 'samsuck' can take this update and stick it in their ears for all I care :p Its beyond ridiculous for them to take this long to release an update that should have been out months ago. Ive been rooted with a custom ROM, now for a couple weeks and couldnt be happier with the performance with my vibrant!! And for those that are worried about wi-fi tethering and Tmobile "catching" you and charging those outragious data prices, check this out.......

Google "samsung Kies mini", download it. Install it.


Set your phone to Samsung Kies (settings>aplications>usb settings>samsung kies

Enable USB debugging on your phone(settings>applications>developement>usb debugging)

Open Samsumg kies mini on computer, plug in your phone, click update and wait for it to do its thing.
