If you have root, most likely, yes.
There is already a rooted froyo that has been built for the droid. I just dont like it all that much. You can't back ur apps up to ur sd card and then re-install them unless the app dev allows it. Stupid. Download: Newer Motorola Droid Froyo Leak FRF57 - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

Froyo ROM is out. Very early stages. I tested it and its very buggy. But give the dev credit. He had it done like 4 hours after the code was released. Imagine what he can do in a few days. Follow it over on XDA. Called KaosFroyo
