Last week, Samsung Galaxy S owners in Europe began updating their Samsung Galaxy S phones to Android Froyo 2.2. Then the update files were pulled from Samsung servers. Samsung UK tweeted, "The Froyo upgrade will be available in the UK from early November, and we expect all operator versions to be available by the end of November."
U.S. Samsung Galaxy S smartphone owners in the U.S., including the Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Fascinate, Samsung Captivate and Samsung Vibrant, are still waiting.
Some bloggers interpreted the UK tweet to mean that U.S. Samsung Galaxy S owners would also be updated by November. However, the Samsung Mobile USA Twitter page denies that date and tweeted, "that tweet was from UK counterparts. In the USA we are working with carrier partners to release Froyo this year."
