History: Rooted Samsung Captivate, original ROM
I downloaded several program updates today and I think one of them screwed up my phone. I rebooted several times and each time it hung on the Galaxy splash screen. Had to take the battery out to restart.
Based on advice in another thread, I erased the user data (battery out, battery in, hold the up/down volume buttons, pressed power, selected erase user data). On reboot (which I've done several times), I'm getting a zillion error messages. For example:
com.google.process.gapps
android.process.media (this one comes up repeatedly)
Gmail (process.com.google.android.gm)
etc.
Any advice on my best option at this point? Any suggestions appreciated!
