frustrated after jellybean kies update

Hey everyone...it's been a while since I've posted, but I just updated to gc01 via the kies update, and my phone will not remember defaults after a reboot. For example, I use sslauncher, I set out as default home launcher..all is well until I have to reboot, then it prompts me again, same with quickpic and any other program I prefer as a default. Has anyone else had this happen? Fix?

....also, unrelated, somehow I have this website set to non html...does anyone know how I reset mydefault for this website back to full html format?

Home screen pic attached just cause I love it!

If by a reboot you mean a factory reset then it is supposed to clear all your settings. If you mean every time you restart your phone it forgets default settings then that's a different story.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I am talking just a simple power off, power back on. No factory reset. This actually brought up another question of mine. If I was to do a factory reset, would I revert to the most updated ota version, and still have to use kies to update to jb? Or would I be to get all the way back to jb without having to use kies again?

Hi, I got this update as well and I'm happy with it so far. No problems like that for me yet. How can I change my screen transition?

the factory wipe will clear your personal data, but you will still have JB. I don't have that issue of the phone forgetting my defaults. you may want to try clearing data/defaults in application manager under settings for the launcher then select home button again and select the launcher you want as default.

So I tried a factory reset, both from the phone setting options, and also long holding power and vol+ both to no avail with this issue. I have isolated the problem tho, and now know it was sslauncher causing the problem, as no other launched seemed to have this issue. I emailed the development, so we will see if something can be done. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Apparently the PlayStore version of sslauncher has an issue with JellyBean 4.1 ... the developer provided me with a link to the same app, but from his website, not the play store. This took less then 30 seconds to download, and resolved my issue flawlessly.
