Frustration with Nexus 7 tablet and Lollipop

Well I've gone back to a 4.4.4 rom after using LP for a couple of weeks.
It was just SO laggy and Franco Kernel caused UI closes so now my tab is back to fast and responsive.
I was using Validus LP and the dev maintaining this doesn't own one I don't think but aparently the problem was on CM's end.. I'll wait till the next build but right now my tab is running lovely on Validus (kk) with Franco Kernel and ART enabled.
Aparently the problem with the LP build was the "trim" feature is broken?
There's a script to fix it but needs a Tasker profile to run it on each boot?
Anyone know a lp build that's running smoothly/fast?

My tablet is pretty useless right now too. Can't do anything without a popup saying its not responding. Half the time I can't even send in the report because its frozen. Worst update ever! I haven't even had a chance to see what has changed. Constantly having to restart to even have a chance to do anything.

I was just pushed to receive Lollipop 5.1. I was so excited!
It now runs perfectly. Um, I lied. It seems to run the same. I thought when it went up a decimal, there was a fairly heavy-duty repair. Apparently I'm mistaken...
