Root Full Hdmi - Root - Kernal - assistance

Im trying to get full hdmi and I may have flashed wrong kernel.

At the outset the EVO worked fine with the monitor (though I may have had settings to tweak for hd). I plugged in cord and videos and slideshows played on the monitor as expected.

Hardware:

Rooted HTC Evo. Rom is the rom that came with the phone. Only mod is rooting.

Software:

I downloaded FullHDMi
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.orrebmas.fullhdmi

and I downloaded HDMI winning
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teamwin.hdmi

FullHDMI
trial worked fine.

Hdmi winning
wouldnt work.

Their page recommends downloading a kernal at the TOP of the page:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teamwin.hdmi

The second kernal they recommend is for cm7 which I dont have and the other sense kernal is a dead link. I have emailed developer...

The kernal I flashed is some wacky name:

Flash went fine no problems. Cleared davlik cache as well before flashing.

The hdmi winning page said it was for 'sense'. I thought i had sense. (lol) I have Froyo right? 2.2...

Now, re using monitor thru hdmi, nothing works I get snow when I set the settings to lowest of 800x600 and i get blank screens or a blank screen with a purple line. (I switch inputs and vga still working fine)

Even the stock hdmi to tv is not working anymore.

Phone operates fine in all other senses.

So my question to you is its probably the kernal and which kernal should I install?

Original?

Something else?

Where to find the kernal would of course also be very very helpful. Thanks in advance I know its an involved question. Thanks.
