Help Full SD Card

Lurker
In Settings - Storage i see that my SD card 2G (phone 3 months old) is almost full which is preventing new apps from the market from being able to download. I went to manage apps and clicked the on SD tab and there was nothing on the SD Card for Apps. i next deleted all photos and videos that were on my SD card but that opened up only a minor amount of space. I then cleared out all my inbox, sent and trash folders on my verizon and gmail account which made the tiniest improvement. I then used astro file to look at what else was on the SD card and it was a lot of stuff that i have no idea what it is. What is the best way to free up space on the SD card? How do I know what I can or should not delete? If all else fails will a verizon store help? Will a new bigger SD card help?

thanks

Easiest thing to do is get a bigger sd card. Or you can just format and start over, there is nothing on there that your phone needs to operate.

my sd card is full of contents in .mail. Is it safe to delete the contents in .mail on the SD card if i am not particularly interested in saving any of my mail. In the gmail and verizon mail icons i have cleared all the items in inbox, sent and trash so i am not sure why there is a lot of content in the .mail folder on the sd card

thanks

Like I said above, you can delete EVERYTHING off the sd card if you want, but you are better off just copying everything to a larger sd card or you will just run into this problem again.
