Root Fully bricked Samsung Galaxy Stellar

Hello,

I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Stellar from this site (awesome that I rooted it :)) But I messed up. I think around Android firmware 2.2 you were able to install apps to your SD card, I think that ended around 2.2 not sure but all I know Is that on 4.1 you couldn't do that, so I went on the google play store and searched for a app for root user that I could make It possible to install onto the SD card. (I was told that If you partition the EXTERNAL SD card then you could make this happen) So I found an app on the google play store and tried to partition the SD card. I kept getting error after error, so I quit, then something happened and everything was buggy so I tried to restart the phone and It never came back on. So I'm pretty sure that It tried to partition the INTERNAL sd card instead. I didn't read the description of the app to well and just went with It. My fault.

Phone does not light up at all, It's just a black screen of death, If i take the battery out then plug in the charger the red light comes on, usually that means It's charging lol. I just tried pluging it into the computer, It does recognize It and It installed android drivers but no folder to browse through of course. That's the only indication of life that Iv found.

So what I'm trying to figure out Is how to at least get it into download mode, or ODIN. Sorry I haven't been In the Android scene In about 2 years or so.

Howdy Foxhound!
Whoa, sorry to hear about that:(

I'm not real familiar with your device, but I did find out how to boot into download mode....turn off the phone.
After that hold the volume down button and then press the power button while holding the volume down button.

When you rooted, were you able to install a custom recovery?

Hello :)

Yeah It really sucks...And yes that's the first thing I tried when I realized my phone got bricked. And no I didnt install a custom recovery. Yeah It's just a black screen upon the power button, or the power button + volume down It's just bricked heh.

Do you happen to have the stock OTA update for Jellybean? I bricked mine too and the only way i can fix it is with the unmodified verizon update... Ive been searching everywhere. You could probably fix yours with it too
