Help Fully Charged?

Well with ace in about 4 to 5 HRS it finishes charging weather if the battery is dead or its 10-15%. It says battery full 100% (along the lines of that) but should I leave it for the full 8HRS as all charges are supposed to be as I have heard that sometimes its just empty notification when the battery says its full when its still charging.

And if I charge it for the full 8HRS when it says its full would that damage the battery.

8hrs!! Thats way too much, where have read that its the normal recharge time?

This battery takes a maximum 2hrs to recharge properly from complete 0.
Now i don't know if it has a limiter to cut off supply when fully charged, but overcharging a Li-ion battery can really harm the battery.

Just pull the plug out after around 15 mins the battery full notification shows up, thats enough charging.

Yes, charging time is 2/2.5 hours max & you should wait until the 100% battery icon appears at the top of the screen & a notification tone is heard. The phone showing "100% charged" on the lockscreen is still not fully charged & takes a further 15-30 mins for icon & tone. Not sure about a safety cut-off after charged, have seen this asked many times but never seen an informed answer! :confused: Graham
 
Thanks all. Mobile instruction manuals are no where as informative as they used to, now they are 5 pages before they were at least 50. I guess if they decided to stop putting advertising in them and added essential information this wouldn't have happend.

Yep. The battery indicator on the Ace is one of the letdowns of this phone. Once the battery shows at 100% (using a widget or just seeing the charger icon) it takes between 30-60 minutes to make the beep and notify you for the full charge.

ACE owners that are not aware on this takes off the plug as soon as they see the battery icon full and then the battery goes down suddenly at 70%, thats because it was never fully really charged.

Mine uses to take between 1:45hs to 2:30hs to fully charge.

Once I drained the battery completely, I mean, the phone wouldn't power on anymore, and charged it from completely zero and it took 3 hours to fully charge, turned off of course.
 
My samsung ACE phone never shows up fully charged msg..charging gets stuck at 96% even after charging it for 4hrs..wht cud b the problem
