Funniest Store Salesman Comment Ever - Why the Dinc is delayed

I went into a Verizon store today to play with a Droid X thinking I might trade up my Dinc for the X (more on that elsewhere). I asked the sales rep if they had a working X on the floor and he said, "No.", they had not put one out and sold all 20 they got on launch day with a line at the door.

I said I was considering the X over the Dinc (didn't tell him my Dinc was in my pocket) and he said:

"Oh, yeah, we can't get any incredibles because there is a problem with samsung screens -- they keep falling off of the phones".

I said, "Pardon me?" as I was sure I mis-heard him. He reiterated that the screens are FALLING OFF OF THE PHONES. I just said "wow" left...

Absolute moron...
 
Yeah ditch your inc before the screen falls off and buy the x. Just overclock the x real quick and you're set
 
Well, he could be right. Samsung MAY be facing this problem while in production. It makes sense to me but we never know.
 
HAHAHAHA i love idiot phone reps. I mean i KNOW that to most people its just a job and way to make money but COME ON would it kill you to at least subscribe to the Engadet RSS feed or something? AHAHA

scratch that you dont even need to subscribe just look at any tech blog at least once a week

Where are you located? A VZW rep in a store told me the exact same thing!
 
Duct tape fixes anything! Time to start a campaign for Samsung and HTC. Send them a roll of duct tape to help with the screen manufacturing issues.

I should have turned and walked away as soon as I entered. The thick, bushy uni-brow was a dead give-away that I had just walked in on cro-magnon man.
