Hey Christmas (in December) has little to do with a carpenter from Jerusalem. As has been discussed, the winter solstice was a time of celebration for the pagans. The Christians wanted to appropriate the celebration to take it away from what was considered to be devilish activities. That said, a lot of traditions carried over. Like the Hanukkah bush.

The carpenter was born in June (ish) I want to say, if memory serves. SO ... I am fine with the fat man and/or the carpenter being celebrated, ya know depending on your faith and whatnot. Who am I to cast stones?

Really I just like excuses to eat, drink and be merry. ;)

Oh and @lunatic59 yea snow and snowmen and whatnot do NOT mean Christmas. I should have said winter themed Star Trek. I appreciate (as usual) your pension to calling out the little details.
