Funny thing happened to me yesterday

I had my first problem with the Inspire yesterday. I went to open GMail, and it kind of froze up on me. Instead of the mail coming up, the picture of the person who last called me came up. I powered it off and back on a couple times, and it would not fix it. I am sitting there thinking to myself, please let this phone be OK. I came from blackberry, and I absolutley love how much more this phone can do. I am in love with Swiftkey, the camera, the apps, ect. I have insurance, but I was still thinking, I hope I don't have to get a new phone because it did take a long time to get the phone exactly how I wanted it. I just didn't want to have to do all that again. So you know what I thought of? I bet it needs a battery pull. All those years of pulling the battery on blackberry finally paid off. But I could not get the damn thing off. So I drove to the ATT store, wait in line for 20 minutes, and tell them what is going on. The girl says, you probably need a battery pull. I said I knew you would say that, but I can't get the thing off. She pulls out a straight razor to get in that small opening. Same thing the guy did the day I bought it. I just think it's strange that you need a freaking razor to get the battery door off. I wonder if they had some sort of training session and they were taught that. Anyway, the battery pull did the job. Gmail is fixed and I couldn't be happier.

I think most of us had the same frustration initially with the battery door - Best way I found (after reading on here) to remove the battery door, is to go to the middle of the volume rocker and pop the battery door up right there it will pop/come right off with minimal effort.

I had to do a battery pull yesterday bc parts of my screen were unresponsive. I hope I don't have to get another one. Quick question though, what color does the little void area behind the battery cover turn when it has water damage?

Yeah, I was waiting for that. I just meant that I think with all the technology advances, and how much better android is than blackberry, most problems can still be fixed with a battery pull. So I guess it wasn't really a funny thing that happened to me. I just think it's funny that a battery pull s still
The fix.

I had no trouble getting it open by using my fingernail, though I guess door removal is a lot tougher on some Inspires than others due to manufacturing tolerances.

I wonder if I got lucky with my Inspire. I have no fingernails because I always bite them off and I have no issues taking the battery door off.

Same, I had heard there were problems initially but that HTC had changed the door a little to make it easier. Mine pops right off with minimal effort.
