Future android user

Hello everyone,

I've been using skype combined with a prepaid cell for phone services over the last year. While it has saved significant money and more or less met my needs, I'm running out of patience with the inconveniences involved.

Looking to pick up a smartphone soon, and it will be an android phone. Probably an Evo 4G or Droid X.

This forum has helped me out already. Hopefully I can pick up android soon and return the favor down the road.

In short... "Do it!"
After over a decade of pre-pay phones (and hand-me-downs for the most part) I got an HTC Desire and without any exaggeration whatsoever it has changed my life.
I've not even had a single overdue fine at the library yet... and I usually get one every single time I miss the renewal date for my books by a day.

I'm actually a bit of a luddite. I grew up with computers (my first had MS DOS on a 5-odd inch floppy disk) and have been using them for about 22 years now and yet I really don't like computer technology.
I can happily go without my phone, but Android really has elbowed its way into my life.

So yes, "Do it!", you seriously will not regret it.
