Future for Galaxy Gear?

I have really enjoyed may Galaxy Gear so far, but I am a little disappointed with the lack of 3rd pay apps and development. Since I have had the watch for over 3 weeks I have not noticed a new app or even an update to the Gear app store existing apps.

The rumor is Samsung will launch new galaxy gear hardware along side the S 5 this Spring.

There is also a rumor about gear 2.

To be honest I never expected to have many apps associated with the gear.

But this is a full blown android device......you can root the gear and get the play store and be able to install android apps.
