Future for Moment?

[skj54]

New to the Android Forum - we have had our Samsung Moments since they came out in Nov 2009. Upgraded 4 phones to 2.1 last summer. Wife is disappointed that Adobe Flash is not available for 2.1 (Farmville Fanatic...)

Any hope at all for 2.2 (for Moment) or an Adobe Flash version for 2.1? Assuming "No & No" - Are there technical reasons or just marketing strategies. (ie - to sell newer phones...)

Welcome to the Android Forums!

An update to Android 2.2 for the Samsung Moment would need to come from Samsung. And unfortunately Samsung doesn't have the best reputation in terms of releasing updates for it's phones.

Yeah you're probably right. No and no. I doubt that the Moment could handle all that IMO.

Welcome to AF. I hate to tell you this, as a former Moment owner, but Moment is end of life and it's doubtful it will ever get 2.2 or above. Best bet is XDA developer support where they concoct their own version of 2.2 for the Moment. You can expect nothing from Sprint or Samsung.
