This has probably been covered before but I'm fairly new to the Android scene (so I would'nt really know).
Will the GT540 be getting updates in the future? Such as 2.4 when it comes out? Or will this just be stuck on 2.1?
Well will it still be able to run apps that come out in the future? And by future, I mean over this year and probably till this time next year.
I buy a new phone once per year, so if the GT540 can at least run sapps and such for that amount of time, I'll be fine.
So what requires Flash to run?
I'm mainly just a Facebook user when it comes to online things and not much of a gamer or a watcher of Youtube. So I guess this phone is good for me if that's what I like/do?
A short list of some of its features would be helpful too. If it's not too much trouble.
Well it sounds like the perfect phone for me then. Will Flash be a possibility in the future though? Or is there a subsitute for Flash? I heard about an app the acts like a Flash player for Android phones on 2.1 and below.
So what kind of Flash or sites can it support? Youtube or something similar?
The Skyfire browser allows you to play Flash videos. It works by using Skyfire's servers to transcode the Flash content to HTML5 that can be played.
for example, to use the roms provided here, you wold need to overclock the phone because with it's default speed (600mhz) 2.3 it's just SLOW, laggy, i overclocked mine to 844mhz
