Help Fuzzy Pictures

Im really disappointed by the camera quality. In light its great but anything else its horrible! It doesnt focus well and is grainy.

People said "its just a phone" but my evo 4g took awesome pics all the time! And my S2 took good pics and l dont remember my note2 being this bad. And I dont understand the thinking behind no photo stabilization technology has come too far for this. Its embarrassing having an expensive phone and not being able to take a QUICK CLEAR picture.

Has anyone had this problem or do I have a damaged phone?

As a real estate appraiser, I use my Note 3 on a daily basis for interior/exterior photos. I've not had the problem you're experiencing. My only problem is typical to any camera - too much backlighting occasionally.

I think its the quick part that is messing you up. My note 3 takes awesome pictures, but it has to remain still while the "processing" symbol is up. If I just throw the phone up and take a picture real quick either it will be blurry or it won't even save the image. Try and hold the camera still a little longer after hitting the shutter release.

I am very disappointed in many aspects of this phone and feel like I wasted my money, but the camera does display some great colors when you get used to it.

I sometimes have to turn off Smart Stabilization because it does some weird processing. but you have to be very very still if you have that option turned off hehe

Low light shots with the galaxy phones have always been poor. To speed up the photo taking process turn off 'Smart Stabilization' if you haven't already. It's basically an option in which the phone tries to potentially compensate for low light situations via extra processing. Turn it off and you remove this extra step from the photo taking process.

My only other advice would be to try another camera app, such as Google Camera, the stock camera on the note series have always been slow.

Sports mode is a must, however, without perfect lighting, my Note3 shoots blurry, fuzzy and images with soft details. I just posted about it in another thread. It is like anything else, there are always pros and cons to everything and the major con for my Note2 and now Note3 is the camera quality and I take lots of pics and have just about had it with Samsung phones...

What phone do you feel has good quality pictures in low light?
