FYI - 100.00 rebate for LG Esteem

The $100.00 mail in rebate is only good if you purchase the LG Esteem ON/AFTER October 1st. Said another way, if you purchase the Esteem phone before October 1st you will not get to take advantage of the $100.00 mail in rebate.

In Texas the pricing brakes down as:

Phone (LG Esteem) $349.00
Sales Tax $ 28.79 (8.25%)
New Service $ 50.00
-----------
Total $427.79
Rebate -$100.00 (only good if purchased on or after October 1st)
_______
$327.79
If you already have service they will charge you $10.00 to switch it over, so subtract $40.00 from the above total. To save the $10.00 conversion fee (rip off) call metro *611 they will change for free. Be sure to use the metro back up to save your contact information before you switch. If you don't have metro back up call and add it for $4.00 bucks. Do the back up on your old phone, have metro switch the phone service, download your contacts to your new phone, call metro (*611) and cancel metro back up. They will remove the $4.00 form your bill.

Or if you have an Android phone already, make sure you back things up to your Google account and you should be ok. SD card should be storing all your pictures and stuff anyways.

You dont even need metro pcs. Can't you just sync your phone with google contacts? Then just resync it. Unless, Metro Back Up, saves your photos, text messages ect. (ive never used it)

Do you have to be activating a new line of service to receive the $100 mail rebate or can you use your preexisting line of service to receive the rebate?
