G mail attachments

I downloaded an app didn't like it because it ended up opening my attachments instead of the previous app that was used. I deleted the app and my attachments are still opening with that screen and I'm clueless as to what needs to happen to return to previous state.
Before I could resize attachment by sliding two fingers to and from each other, but now I have to hit the + button and or double tap the screen to zoom in and - to zoom out.
I'm guessing it is an easy fix but I haven't a clue.

Try going to System/Application Manager/ALL/Gmail and then click Clear Defaults

whitecollar, I tried and it was cleared. I have also noticed it doesn't always load the first try says "fetching attachment", and before it would go right to the attachment. And sometimes I have to touch the 3 dots on the right and hit preview or download again. Thanks!

Wanted to update post. I noticed my attachments in my file folder also weren't opening, it said there wasn't an app to open them. So I loaded Adobe reader app and all my apps are opening correctly now. Problem solved!!
