Help G-Mail contacts not syncing

My new contacts stored on my phone in G-mail address book have not been syncing. I have tried manually syncing by going to settings>accounts & sync>gmail>sync contacts. I keep receiving a message saying "Sync is currently experiencing problems," it has been saying this for the past couple days. Any one else experiencing same problems?

Try going through the 'set up' app and make sure you check the google account for syncing options
 
The google application is "set up," through that app you referenced, for contact syncing, but I get the same error message as AGAV13: "Sync is currently experiencing problems"

alright, you got me. im not entirely sure. i know! how unprofessional of me. take your phone in to verizon and see what they can do
