I am in need a a private e-mail. I can't use my work one anymore for certain reasons (applying for new jobs). I know we have G-mail accounts with this thing but i heard nothing but bad stories about it.

are the problems all fixed? I heard it never lets the phone sleep? am i wrong?

as long as it doesn't drain my battery and not let the phone sleep I can use it

thanks in advance

Not sure where you heard that, but it has never given me a problem. What may have happened is people used one of the gmail apps or widgets from the market?

No problems here either, even with 'always on mobile data' off i get my gmails. Gmail syncs same as your contacts or calendar so i don't see it draining battery.

i could of sworn in my readings that it was a common complaint. But it was probably like you said (a different app). thats why this place is great. Rather than screw up my phone i ask a quick question and great people (like you two) help me out

thanks again. i'm going to set it up now........
