Help G-Sensor Calibration?

macoymom

Lurker
The games like Where's My Water and Temple Run require a phone to rotate the screen to work just by moving the phone... My phone has quit doing that!

Regardless if the auto rotate is on or off it used to work...now it won't work regardless of anything I try!

The G- Sensor will calibrate but only after several attempts and still the games won't work!

Any Suggestions or Solutions?

When people have reported similar difficulties in the past, they've been able to resolve the issue by putting their phone on a level surface but - and this is the crucial part - leaving the bump of the camera lens housing hanging over the edge of the level surface before doing the calibration. It seems that the body tilt caused by the protruding lens housing is enough to cause problems.

When I recalibrated mine, I put my phone back in it's box. It's a perfect surface because of the hole for the camera. Just put the box on a level table.

I have been having problems with the auto-rotation function since my phone was updated to android v2.3.5
Orange wanted me to do full factory reset that would have lost all sttings - just carried out G - sensor recalibration after reading this thread and all is now well - thanks! :adore::D
