My Girlfriend from New York just bought me a 2nd hand G1 phone
but i live here in Philippines. after watching some videos on youtube
about updating G1 i was just wondering if my phone has been updated
here it is;

you have a rooted phone ... so you have a world of rom builds to choose from

Yes, you have the latest official firmware.

In clarity, samuelmaskell, the version he is using is not "official". While fully functioning in every way an official build does, and then some, to be official it needs to be released by Google, a wireless provider or the manufacturer. Preferably in an OTA manner.

Alright, fine. I just meant that it's not a modified Rom. I don't see the point of getting technical with someone who doesn't speak English.

Hey guys,

Thank you for the replies, i really appreciated it. but I still have one problem,
this phones drains its battery fast, I tried the power manager in the android market but its says that is a trial version and it will expires soon. is there any other way for this or can i manually install power manager? where and how?
