G1 to G2

Well I broke down and ordered my G2 today. I was waiting on the new Nexus S but decided to go with the G2 because I still love having an HDW keyboard.

Now the interesting thing is I ended up buy it at Costco. They had the best deal and they were the only one that didn't want me to change my Google Plan to something else.

Every other place wanted me to change plans. T-Mobile wanted too much for the phone.

I had it shipped next day air so I should get it on Wed!!!!

Should be interesting going from a G1 to a G2. :D
 
I just got my G2 as an upgrade from my G1 and it is a great breath of fresh air. The phone is just so much faster. I hope you find the switch as great as I did.
 
I upgraded to the G2 from the G1 also. Its a great feeling. You will seriously not believe how much better it is. Well you will but you'll realize how bad the g1's specs are after playing with your g2 for just a second. Hardware keyboard FTW too. I'm just disappointed about the missing front facing camera. :confused: Why no front facing camera HTC? Whatever, I LOVE my G2.
 
Well the G2 arrived today and WOW is this thing cool and fast. Just for fun I did the navigation to my house..and bam! When I arrived at my house it showed Google street view and a pic of my house! How cool is that!.

Put all the old apps that were on my G1 on the G2 and man I love this thing. The keyboard is great!..

As for the front facing camera I can see why..they would have to make the whole top part of the phone thicker to allow for room for a camera.
 
I was another one that upgraded from the G1 to the G2. I was pretty much deadset on the G2 because I wanted to keep the hardware keyboard. I do miss the dedicated number row of the G1 though and I still find the G1 is easier to type on. Funny thing is though that now that I've gotten pretty good with skype, I actually prefer it over the hardware keyboard. I don't think I would have gone with the MT4G though had I know how much I liked skype, as I still think the G2 is the better phone of the two. I do still prefer the hardware keyboard for entering passwords or e-mail address that may not be stored on your phone.

I hate to be so shrewd, but I think you may have connection issues or something. I get on the internet when people ask me questions. I just press the house and it takes me to the home menu. From there I just go to the internet. I'm using the standard browser by the way. I know some apps just straight up hang up your call if you can' talk and be on that app at the same time. LoL!!

You should see a little green phone symbol in your notification bar if you press "home" while on a call. From there, just navigate to browser, send that text message or email. LoL!!

To test it out, call your voicemail. "shortcut is pressing and holding 1 in the dialer."
