G2 vs Apple Extreme Base station

I got my G2 2 days ago and have yet to successfully connect to my Airport Extreme base station. When I put in my WEP password, it says "obtaining IP address" "scanning" then "unsuccessful" and "disconnecting". I tried disabling all security on the router and it still wouldn't connect. The router is an Apple Extreme base station (the one that looks like a mushroom). I really have no clue what the problem is at this point...anyone?

you sure you put your password in correctly?

I had trouble with connecting to my wifi at home, with the same thing happening to me in the wifi settings menu on the phone.

Re-entered my password and it worked!

apparently it doesnt tell you if the password is incorrect...
