g2 wifi calling/hotspot ota???

I'm really skeptical, has anyone actually gotten this? Its supposed to be released today.

I haven't seen the ota yet..grr I am so impatient. Is there anyway to check for updates other than refreshing the update software box in the settings?

you need to look around. The update is being plastered everywhere and originated from XDA.

I forgot to update this thread. Yesterday, I managed to find a thread somewhere about manually updating it. Call me a n00b but I didn't know you could do that with OTAs but gosh darn, I was excited.

Wifi calling works great now. I think I'm going to stay away from the wifi hotspot bit as they are going to charge for that soon. I am fine with just using VISIONary and wifi tether app for free.

It fixed the Data connection issues i was having, this is now the perfect phone.

I wish Verizon had Wifi calling. That was the shit when I had T-Mobile for a week.

I thought I got the update this morning but it did NOT reboot my phone NOR change the "current version" to 2.2.1. (under settings>about phone>android version)
Did your guy's update reboot your phone? and what link did you use to manually update?

ALSO under system updates it says "the phone is currently up to date"...GRRRRR
