Help G2X Extreme Data Usage... please help.

Base

Lurker
I hit my 5gb usage with T-Mobile this weekend and still have 16 days left on my billing cycle. I absolutely don't use this phone near that much. I called customer care and also looked up online my data usage. Starting around the 12th of this month I noticed all data transactions went from 0.01 mb to 20.00 mb+...

Below is a copy of the highest usages, top 3 of which I was sleeping at the time of download. Few notes: I do not have Wifi hotspot active, do not download music, and have my sync options on the longest possible time between intervals. Also, I rarely use wifi at home (apparently I should more often though). This has never happened yet, have had the phone for about 6 months.

I am starting to think the new update has something to do with it. I think the new market uses extreme amounts of data. Can anyone shed some light on my topic? Thanks!

Half a GB while you are sleeping?

I have things set to update while I sleep, like Doggcatcher. And I have it set to only update while connected to wifi. Either there is some strange mistake by TMo, or someone is using your phone without you knowing or you have something set to download automatically.

before you go to bed go to menu>settings>wirless&networks>mobile network settings then uncheck data enabled. Then make sure wifi is off then there should notbe any data tranfered on your phone. I actually use alot of data so I shut it off when I am not using it so none of that stuff goes on in the background and it saves battery. You can also get a widget.

Wouldn't it be easier to go into airplane mode?
