Help G2X help for a newbie

Hi Guys,
I just got a G2X and its currently running Android Version 2.3.3

Would appreciate it if someone could help me with 2 issues I have

1) Do I need to do a Gingerbread update and if so will T-Mobile send it to me or how do I get it. I could not find it in the Android Market
I'm not very tech savvy and am scared to mess up my phone

2) Am pissed off that they don't have a netflix app for the G2X and can someone show me a simple way to get this app. I read you have to trick your phone to think its a G2 and then it will work. Is there a simple way to do this without messing your phone

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated

2.3.3 is Gingerbread and the most updated OS you can get.

Netflix isn't available yet on the G2x. It's disappointing, but I expect it to come soon.
