Help g2x loses data connection when sleeps

hey all,
My G2x has been wierd when handling data connections. everynow and then it will bounce in and out of wifi to 4g and as of recently everytime i "wake" it up its in 4g instead of wifi and takes a min to reconnect to the wife and get rolling again.

is this something in the settings or something i should be concerned about.

Found my problem. under the wifi connection list if you hit setting>advanced> there is a selecetion to have it turn off wifi when it sleeps. i dont ever remember messing with it but oh well.
