Help G2x Phantom Touch - lower left corner

I've been using my G2X for maybe 4-5 hours since I got it, and I've already noticed this issue.

I have a random, repeating phantom touch in the bottom left corner of the screen. It will hit applications down there, cause the input selection to pop up, cause the call menu to pop up, etc..

Only apps installed are JuiceDefender (free), ATK (free), and Words with friends (free).

I'm trying factory reset to see if that solves it, and helps with battery life (only 5 hours usage today), but has anyone else experienced this. Is it more likely a software/driver glitch, or a hardware issue? What else might I be able to do to diagnose?

This sounds like a hardware issue to me. I've certainly never seen anything like it on my phone. I'd take it back and exchange it.

Well, amazon is sending a replacement. Should be here tomorrow. It's kinda nice having the Amazon warehouse it ships from in the same town.
