G3 screen and AKNotepad

Hello, all. Last week, my G3 screen went black without warning. I pulled the battery and restarted. I got about ten seconds before fading to black again. Since then, I have a dead phone. Everything still works, but obviously can't see a thing. If this is a common problem, please inform me what it might be and what it takes to fix. Honestly, I've had endless very bad problems with it, so I'm planning to warranty and get a new one, which leads to my reason for the thread, and possibly why I may have to fix it.

So how can I go about doing a system restore and/or wiping the phone clean without a screen?

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

So your phone is booted up but the screen just goes blank?
Your computer can recognize it?
I'll have to check out this AKNotepad to see if I can possibly offer some assistance, or perhaps others can;)

Anyway, about wiping the phone clean, I believe there is a way to get into recovery (to wipe it from there), but it may differ slightly for different carriers, not sure. (what carrier do you have?)
And and far as your trust issues, let's leave someone's ethnic background out of the conversation;)

I'm on Sprint. I see now on my old phone that I had exported the ak notes on the app first before copying to my hard drive. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can blindly go through the motions and do that.

As for my ethic comment, I apologize as I meant that the last phone warranty went to Malaysia. Wasn't meaning to so much be offensive, rather just humorous. Perhaps 'creepy dude in Malaysia' would have seemed more light hearted.
