gahhhh! moving from Evo 4G LTE to M8 (Sprint)

ok, so i have a evo 4g lte and the phones has been acting weird, it reboots about 12 times a day and seems to reboot while changing networks (from 3g to 4g to wifi to different wifi etc) it also sometimes takes ~3-5 mins to start a phone call after dialing the number....what ever, had an upgrade so i bought a m8 and went to transfer my stuff. both phones are rooted, both have titanium back up. so, i synced the evo to dropbox and installed TB on the m8. after restoring the TB from dropbox to the m8 it started randomly rebooting!!! i flashed a new rom and it stopped rebooting. there are a few apps on my evo which i want with data/cant download anymore, so my question is how do i selectivity choose the few apps/contacts i want to restore from TB or is there a better way?

THANKS!!!

Some apps wont work correctly since the two phones have different chipsets. Netflix did this to me when I moved from a Droid X to a Galaxy Nexus, but I was able to just wipe the app data and then it worked. Some apps have entirely different apk versions for phones. Restoring data with Titanium backup between phones is a bit of a pain.
To restore apps manually (one by one) open Titanium Backup and choose the backups tab. The apps with the line through them are backed up but not currently installed. Click on one and choose restore App + Data. After it installs, choose run to see if it works. If not, clear the app's data and run it again. If it still doesn't work the app may not be compatible with the m8.
Check out the guide here and good luck.

Btw - I'm leaving this in the general forums because this could happen to an unrooted user, using MyBackup Pro or Helium, and it's the same thing - eliminate the bad apps on transfer / restore.

All of my LTEvo apps came over to the M8 just fine.

in theory they should but i am having problems with the evo, so something is bad in the software. its like imaging a computer with a virus, no matter how many new computers you use the virus isnt going away.

i went from a droid inc to rezound to evo 4g all using TB sync to dropbox. guess its time to just semi-start over

ha! didnt know i could select apps like that, i thought i had to do the whole thing. thanks for your help! i got the ~5 apps i cant find anymore + data moved over and the rest ill just add from the market. my handcent texts didnt move to the new phone but whatever, im going to call this project completed.

MyBackup Root does great at moving texts.

And move up to Textra from Handcent, it's far better, especially on Sprint. Swipe to the left to see correct timestamps.
