Root Gaining Root Access wirh 2.3.4

I am getting the "Error verifying extendedcommand" when trying to root my phone.

I have a HTC Incredible

I was flashing with the ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0 and have the 2.3.4 version of Gingerbread, I also have all my Root apps i.e. Root Checker, Rom Manager, Superuser, Superuser Permissions.

My phone still works, but I don't have Root Access Permissions.

Any help would be great..

I got the "S-Off" then I re-installed the 2.3.4 version rooted, and it appears to be functioning properly, for now.
