galaxy a21 question

i jsut got the galaxy a21 from tracfone because they told me my lg k20 was going offline in February. anyway, i managed to get the apps installed but i need to figure out how to get the greenify app to get the shortcut onthe home pages? when i go into the settings and tell it to create a hibernation shortcut it tells me it put one in the launcher one-click but i do not see it in the apps or on any home pages so where is the one-click launcher located? i found the app launcher and game launcher but they do nto seem to be working for the greenify shortcut i made.

Try changing your assistant app to Greenify.

This can be easily done through the settings of Greenify.

This causes a long press of the home button (center of navigation bar) to activate Greenify.

This can be stop your chosen apps and/or lock the screen.
 
no i guess i have not found the widgets yet. i'malso trying the get the app and home screens to loop around like the lg phone do. i tried to download the good lock app from samsung and it said my phone was not compatible. so maybe someone know how to do that. but i will try to find the widgets and see if it is there. looked and did not find widgets. on the lg i could swipe up over the bottom tray and widgets showed up. but not on this phone yet. i will keep looking it may be there. thanks
 
greenify is not there however i did manage to get into the widgets and was able to put the sleep and hibernate (zzzz leaf) in the bottom row that is always there. so thanks much for that.

also i have 5 buttons down in that lower tray area, can i put any more? lg let me put 6 or 7 down there and just made them smaller. i would like to have 6 if possible. I have 1 that is a multiple app location and then my photos the camera the greenify and the app icon it would be nice to put the settings button there so i do not have to put that icon on every page. if not i can live with it or take the app's icon away and put the setting back and just swipe for apps.

and it sure would be nice to get a looping home screen and apps screens if that is possible? thanks much
 
thanks, i tried a couple and they did not work. maybe it is because this one is from tracfone. but i did get the greenify to go i found the widgets and got the hibernate and sleep in the bottom row. so i believe it is good. stll do not have the loop but i guess that is not super important.
tracfone sent me this phone because they said my lg k20 was not volte capable, but i looked at the apn on this one and it is 2g 3g lte just like the lg k20 and tracfone told me i needed a phone that was 4g capable to have the volte service. so lets see in febuary if this one still works. it very well could be that tracfone has some hidden setting i can't see and that will make it work after the 3g towers shut down. thanks

what do you mean they did not work? nova is not compatible with your device? it should be.
 
no, i do not know about nova i did try 2 others and the phone said not compatible. let me give this one a try tomorrow and see how i like it. but for now, i got greenify to work and all the other items seem to do a good job except for the looping of the home and app screens. it is possible they will not loop at all. thanks for the llink.

Also, you can look online at Tracfone and see what phones are available for free to people being forced to upgrade.

It may take some time, and I recommend finding the phone you want and then calling Tracfone instead of using their convoluted website.

I just got a friend a free Moto e.
We spent 3 hours online with the stupid website, then called and it was set to go in 20 minutes.

Even though you already have a replacement phone, if you don't like it you may still be within the return window so that you can exchange it for another device.

Just something to consider.
 
thanks i have nova downloaded and will give it a try. i got a free tracfone the galaxy a21 it was about the best one for what i needed using vs to compare the lg k20 to the lg g7 thinq and then other phones against them.

i got my phone over the tracfone site in like 5 minutes. they sent me an email telling me i was eligible for a free phone and i used vs to compare what they had. and the a21 came the closest to the lg g7 thinq. i think i may still get the thinq for me and give this a21 to the wife. i think she is losing her phone in july as she has 2g 3g lte just like my lg k20.

The funny thing is when i went into the apn settings on this a21 all it has is 2g 3g lte just like the k20 phones we have now so i don't understand how the a21 will work in march being it has the very same service abilities.

this a21 seems to have just about the same features the k20 has but for screen looping and i may find out i have it on this a21 but have not found it in the background somewhere.

ok i have not figured out how to do screen looping so i gave up on that one. but i have 2 more questions maybe some can help me with?

when i plug the phone into the pc i get a message on the phone asking for permission to allow access to the data. and i have to tap allow every time. where can i go to change that?

also i have hundreds of photos on the phone but when i have it plugged into the pc i can only see maybe 50 of them. at one time, before i installed the sd card i could see all of them then i tried moving the photos to the sd card but that did not seem to work with the sd card i had so i got a better sd card and moved a few apps and not the photos and now i see only a handful of them. i checked the sd card that was in the phone at the time and there are no photos on that card when i ut it in the pc to check for photos. but they are on the phone's internal memory. so how do i get to see them when i have the phone plugged into the pc?

and now every time i remove the phone from the pc i get an error message the device has stopped or been removed. how do i get rid of that message on the pc? i know it has been removed. so is that a pc issue or the phone needs a setting changed? thanks
