Galaxy Ace 2 jellybean

The jelly bean update out for ace 2 is currently for unlocked devices as of what i know, im on EE and nothing for me either. Us with branded phones ( not unlocked ) going to have to wait for our network providers to release it for us once they've tested it etc. Which seems to be taking ages haha

The JB update is available for "Unbranded" devices.

Unlocking your device only lets you use different network providers...

It'll come.

I'll report a point I've made in other threads though and that is you don't need to rush. While Jelly Bean does bring some great new features to the table and is an improvement all round there are some potential lags and issues you may run into (Samsung didn't properly optimise the firmware for the device).

There are many of Jelly Bean's features (aside camera zoom, expanded notifications) that you can obtain in GB using custom apps/launchers. Gingerbread also has a perfectly stable and optimised firmware. The phone screams on the LK7 (or was it 6?) firmware. Enjoy your Ace 2 as is for now and you'll be notified when the firmware upgrade becomes available to you.

That it is but they're heavily restricting the RAM and the performance isn't typical of the MG2 firmware

Just check for ota updates or download kies on your pc and check for updates.

The last time I checked, 3UK handsets were unbranded firmware... so that means it should update to MF1 BTU that is already available.
