Looking at the Galaxy S6 edge pic rumours, - if they have rounded edges on both sides, where would the strength in the phone chassis be ??

Metal plate along the back or through the middle. Hard to say much without a better image, or better yet a look at the actual device.

The main thing that gives that image credibility is that it does match the profile in the Samsung release event image.

That's what a supposedly-leaked image showed earlier this week, an alloy 'exoskeleton'.

I had a play with a Note 4 Edge in Samsung's shop in Cardiff on Tuesday. Looking at the drop factor with one edge rounded off and then two, that was the reason for the question.
Still, not too long to wait and have a look see.

Yes, the glass (or plastic) will be more exposed if dropped with a rounded edge, and harder to protect with a case. I don't think of that as a chassis strength issue but screen vulnerability. Don't know what Note Edge experience has been so far (I've yet to see anyone with one in real life).
