Root Galaxy Indulge Bricked?

Ess

Lurker
I was sending a text message and as I clicked the send buttion I recieved a call. After finishing the phone call my phone started to buzz as if it were force closing something. No pop up appeared indicating what was being force closed and the phone continued to vibrate so I did a hard reset. Now it won't boot up, after the Samsung logo appears it vibrates as if force closing and the screen lights up but nothing else show up.

I am a new owner of this phone and never had an Android before so did my phone brick itself? Is there a way to fix this?

Did you happen to have your phone rooted when this happened?
Im just curious because this happened to me last week after applying the overclock in Galaxy Tuner just curious if it could be related.

Its actually quite an easy fix follow the instructions for Odin (Provided your Metro).

Yes it is a metro phone. I didn't root it though and that is why I am confused about why it bricked on me.

ShabbyPenguin what are these stock files that you are talking about and how do I use them?

T3XAN what do you mean by "follow the instructions for odin"?

The stock files Shabby is referring to are found in this thread as well. First do a factory reset. If a factory reset doesnt restore your phone to functional then do the Odin.

Hey, you're not rooted. So...
Return it to the store and bark at them for having a sh**ty device!

Or factory reset by going to recovery as suggested above.
You can access recovery mode by pressing (and holding) both the R key on the keyboard and the power button to turn on the phone (assuming the phone being previously turned off somehow ;))
