Help Galaxy nexus....a trade??

Ok I'm going to trade a Verizon galaxy nexus 4g lte for a Samsung galaxy s3 and 150...is that to much or should I trade for my phone and like 100.??? Help me out please!!

If you can, I would actually skip the Samsung Galaxy S3 and get the Droid DNA for $150. The Droid DNA is definitely a newer generation phone than the SGS3, with the exception of 16gb and nonswappable battery.

DNA has the S4 pro Quad Core 1.5GHz and 1080p screen (440ppi), 2gb ram, and Jelly Bean, with a much more solid feel than the plasticky sgs3.

he is doing everything off contract...so the $150 isn't going to fly for a DNA.

OP. i would also try a little lower. If i were patient, i could probably get my phone and $100 over here. S3's are going for like $300-$350 in my area.

meh keep your nexus its better than both

Had the Nexus for a year, and it was not a good phone. It has a grainy screen, slow connection rate to the network, horrendous battery life, weak speaker, weak vibration, and also no amp in your headphone jack like the DNA did.

Sorry, but the DNA is leaps and bounds better than the Nexus.

Even news articles praise the screen on the Droid DNA moreso than the Nexus 4.

You also have a more locked down device. To each his own.

I can buy a S3 for $175 right now, local Craigslist.
But I passed it up, if I'm going to upgrade it's going to be for a quad core.......like a Note 2.

Sorry, but they're actually the same size. In fact, the DNA is much thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Nexus. If I can get a bigger screen in the same size format, I would.

You need to look at the specs again. The Galaxy Nexus is smaller and slightly lighter. The Nexus is 5.33 x 2.67 x 0.35 inches (135.5 x 67.94 x 8.94 mm) while the DNA is 5.55 x 2.78 x 0.38 inches (141 x 70.5 x 9.73 mm) -- the Nexus is smaller in every dimension. The Nexus weighs 4.76 oz. compared to 4.87 oz for the DNA.

Edit: After posting I realized you likely meant the Nexus 4. And the Nexus 4 is still smaller than the DNA, including being thinner (5.27 x 2.70 x 0.36 inches for the Nexus 4 vs. 5.55 x 2.78 x 0.38 inches). You are partially right that the Nexus 4 is very slightly heavier (not much heavier) than the DNA (by 3 100ths of an ounce, essentially the weight of a $1 bill), likely due to a larger battery and the glass back.

I also can't agree that reviewers prefer the DNA. The difference appears to come down to the fact that the DNA has LTE and the Nexus 4 is much less expensive.

whats the big deal, get what phone you prefer. all of the high end android phones are sweet these days.

either way, they guy isn't getting a DNA for anywhere around $150 off contract. the S3 is a step above the Gnex in pretty much every way IMO except for that home button and software (which can and would be changed on my device)
